Volunteer Services

Volunteers at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum
ARE the Spirit of the Community.

Volunteers are invited to assist in providing a superior ALPLM guest experience through training and education of the State of Illinois's history and the legacy of President Abraham Lincoln.

All potential volunteers must attend a mandatory orientation and interview. A core base of training and an opportunity for monthly continuing educational programs will be provided. ALPLM volunteers are needed in areas involving educational activities, Library & Museum services, tours and special events.

Quarterly volunteer orientations are scheduled at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library evenings and Saturdays. ALPLM volunteers must be willing to volunteer at least 2 four hour shifts per month and be at least 16 years of age.

For additional information and registration, please call:
(217) 558-8872 or email Linda_Bee@ihpa.state.il.us

Thank you for your time and interest.
