ABRAHAM LINCOLN PRESIDENTIAL LIBRARY ORAL HISTORY PROGRAM

Welcome to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library's Oral History Program web site. The Oral History program is dedicated to preserving the stories and memories of Illinois' citizens, not just those of the famous and prominent among us, but of people from all walks of life. Our aim at ALPL is to become the state's premier repository for oral histories, both those created by the Library's own Oral History program, but also those collected by other organizations and then donated to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library.

We currently have three of the ongoing ALPL Oral History projects launched on this web site: Agriculture in Illinois, Illinois Statecraft, and Veterans Remember. Be watching for our launch of other Oral History projects over the next couple of years. We ask for your patience as we work toward these goals, and thank you for your interest in and support for our program. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library is committed to preserving Illinois' incredible story, one voice at a time.
